I always loved Mohamed Mounir's songs especially the lyrics which were always too simple but deeply expressing the human emotions.
This song didn't mean much to me when I lived in Egypt, but became a favourite since the first day I arrived in Australia, and every single time I listen to it, it breaks my heart.
It's one of his old songs from the album,'Meshwar'.
It goes like this:
Amana ya ba7r testelem el amana
A7babna ya ba7r fe 3younak amana
Amana ya mog boos khashab el marakeb
Amana ya mog tabtab 3ala elly rakeb
Amana ya hawa tekteb 3ala el shera3
el lo2a akid men ba3d el wada3
Amana ya ba7r testelem el amana
A7babna ya ba7r fe 3younak amana
Amana ya sama, 7asby 3ala el a7bab
E7mihom ya sama dol fel bo7oor aghrab
Amana ya hawa tekteb 3ala el shera3
el lo2a akid men ba3d el wada3
Amana ya ba7r testelem el amana
A7babna ya ba7r fe 3younak amana
Amana ya teir wassalhom bel salama
Amana ya ba7r ragga3hom bel salama
Amana ya hawa tekteb 3ala el shera3
El lo2a akid men ba3d el wada3
Amana ya ba7r.......
